My gf and I went to Pennington Flash near Leigh yesterday. It’s a regular place for a walk for us as it’s just a few minutes by car. Pennington Flash is a sizeable lake and has a large population of birds - ducks, swans etc. There are hides for the keen twitchers to use.

When I have more time I might take up an interest in birdwatching, at least to the point of recognising more than just the most common ones. Can’t see my girlfriend being too keen though so I won’t be going on birdwatching expeditions any time soon. Not unless I can pair it with shopping to keep her interested.

After a long break from the blog, I’m back. More posts will follow.

I’m happy to have made this blog, Just Let Me Say This, live. I’ve had it in mind for a while now, indeed I bought the domain name last year, but up to now it hasn’t happened. The reason I’m able to do it now is to do with my writing project.

I want to use this blog to practice writing, some if not most of the material I’m creating during my daily writing task (more on that later), will end up here. Just as my writing exercise has begun in a free-form style, so will this blog. This is in order to let things flow, otherwise I’ll spend too much time worrying about the structure, grammar and other things that will get in the way.

But I also intend this to be a record of my musings, recommendations, plans etc. etc.

We’ll see how it develops. Hope you come along for the ride.
